what does "you can socket these two and try 22uF and 47uF" mean?

what does "you can socket these two and try 22uF and 47uF" mean?

does it mean install this and then you can mix n match?

it would mean,solder in some sockets and then experiment with cap values.

just remeber to keep the polarity correct.

word of advice: the metal part inside the plastic of the sockets heats up fast. hold it with pliers or something while soldering it in place :D

my fuzz factory parts are coming soon (if futurlec ever decides to ship). Im really excited, i built it before buy didnt like it and used the parts for other stuff. second times the charm!

anyone have any places where they buy these sockets for besides small bear?

I can't seem to figure out the right kind of socket i need from the gigantic selection that digikey or mouser has

Here you will find
16 pin IC for $.40 - you can cut it apart and use the little pieces as I understand it.
Also they have a 40 pin strip of singles for $1.50 - pretty cheap. :lol:
