I have been building for a while, but have never done it starting from a schematic. I have several schems that I want to build from. But I am clueless on how to go about creating a PCB layout from a schem. I am looking for some tips on where to start.

Buy RG's PCB layout book from smallbear . . . it has everything you need to know. I heartily recommend it - it has helped me immensely with my layouts.

Plus RG is so generous with his knowledge . . . it's a way to give back just a little to a cool guy.

ive always looked at schematics like a puzzle and tried to fit it in as small an area (the PCB) as possible but i recommend the book also, i dont have it but i plan to get with my next sb order to make things a little (or a lot) easier on myself.
