Basic channel switcher for my amp

What exactly are you trying to do? Just switch one guitar between the two channels? I use a diecast box with a changeover switch and 3 jack sockets. If you're worried about the unused cable being open circuit, use a DPDT switch connect one output to each common and switch between the input and 1 Meg to earth. A 3PDT would allow you to switch a LED as well.

Ah, there is a channel switch facility built in? The AD30 schematic I found on-line showed only a single channel. Your diagram looks good, but I can check at shortscale.org, I'm sure there are a couple of AD30 owners there

Yep, an AD30 owner there confirms any single-pole latching switch would work, he used to use an old Marshall one, so your diagram looks good. The sleeve should be at chassis potential (earth) back at the amp, so that looks fine.
