Is it incredibly important what gauge I use? My order arrived from Smallbear today (ordered the 24th!), and I received a spool of wire that is noticeably smaller than the leftovers from the Monte Allums OD-308.

I was planning on using the leftovers (white) for the jacks and switch and LED, and the Smallbear stuff (purple) for the control pots. Is there going to be any problem? I assume everything sold by Smallbear is usable in stompboxes, but I just thought I'd ask.

Another question is drilling my enclosure. Eek :| , I have no idea how to even start to start to think about starting that... Four pots, In, Out, DC, LED with Bezel, switch.

I don't really know measurements and all that jazz. Maybe I should find someone in my area to help?

You can use any gauge wire that you can work with. The 24AWG PreBond that Smallbear sells is the easiest to work with, IMO.
