Don't you dare. Suddenly it's not DMCA, it's investigations of harassment or threats.

Don't you fucking dare.
I just got the idea for my second production pedal - a silicon tonebender! The first $1000 in net profits goes to the Tracer's Fund. I had no interest in building a fuzz until Lance showed me how much fun they could be.

Sorry my sarcasm didn't come across well. I would never resort to anything untoward. Even in writing. Besides it would probably violate a restraining order that I already have taken out against me. And I ain't going to jail for anybody. Especially a trivial little JH like him. So, no I would never dare.

That kind of talk is not cool, even as a joke. You may have meant no harm, but people don't often react well to threats (whether it's violence or otherwise).

Please don't make that kind of comment here again. That goes for everybody, not just you.

Ya'll feel me? :?:

Again, my sincerest apologies. I feel you. Never again. Ever.
On a more constructive note; do you think a petition of some sort sent to the proper place would be a viable alternative so the voices of the forum could be heard? There are literally thousand of members; most would be willing to sign I'm sure. Or, would this be a waste of effort and fall on deaf ears?
Again, sorry for the stupid human tricks.
Could a moderator please delete that post any and all references to it?
Thank you.

Even though it feels weird as hell to be editing someone else's posting, I have adjusted a few posts in this thread at the request of osa (his post and two posts quoting that post). Those are marked at the bottom with the editing time/date and explanation.

I don't like doing this kind of "Ministry of Truth" editing crap, so you guys (all of you) don't make me do this anymore. Cool? :thumbsup

We almost never edit posts here for a variety of reasons. It feels odd and we don't enjoy it.

If you've made a colossal fuckup in a post somewhere, let a mod know and we'll consider editing it. But the reason better be good. And you can't ask for entire threads to be deleted or entire subjects. So in other words, "Delete all the comments about ME!" is not gonna fly. But if it's "I accidentally posted a pic of my naked wife, please delete the post!" I'm sure we'd comply.

We (the mod/admin folks) may have to take up the discussion of editing protocol. We've not much discussed it in the past because it's never really been an issue.

I thought your comments were completely out of hand and needed moderating.

Yes. I would encourage everyone to "take the high road" in this situation. No good can come from *stooping down* to fight. I believe a quote from "The Karate Kid: Part Two" is appropriate here. Miyagi say: best block, no be there.

And honestly, it's just pedals. While the bigger issue at stake here is free speech and the abuse of IP laws, we have to keep in mind that we're having a war over a fucking Tonebender. Let's just think about that for a minute.

I'm not happy with the situation we're in at the moment, but all of us are still people. People are fallible and imperfect, and we all have moments we'd rather forget. Let's just take a step back and think about what's important while the forum is in "pause mode" and we move forward.

I hate to sound like a hippy (okay, actually I don't), but I really would prefer that we direct this immense momentum toward something positive and beneficial rather than something negative and hurtful.
I'm a tree hugging vegetarian hippie. I do shower though. At least once a year :)

And I am re-directing my energy to building pedals, although I lack the enclosures.
Between yesterday and today I built a Fuzzrite, Big Muff Tri, Bazz Fuss, Jordan Bosstone, and a Diaz Texas Sqaureface. All with (gasp) non-arrayed transistors!. How revolutionary.
