The whole point of freestompboxes.org is to provide an online haven for stompbox electronics enthousiasts of all kinds. Our server is hosted in Sweden with a great company that get its business out of a no-nosense policy with regard to DCMA. This is more expensive than an average US lease, but still not much to speak of. When the attachment function was added to the forum, it was about 350MB in database size. Now it's approaching 8 GB...
This is all attachments... say 7GB of it. This is not an immediate problem, the Swedish meatballs are happily keeping the server running.
relevant stuff:
-gutshots of untraced pedals
-gutshots of rare pedals to compare values etc
-schematics you want to contribute to the community (definite version or not)
-original documents like user manuals, service notes, articles on the unit
-any relevant document about stompbox units not readily available elsewhere
-nude pictures of other forum members
This is also the reason why some section have the functions and others don't.
There are temporary relevance:
https://photobucket.com/,
http://imageshack.com/ or
http://postimage.org/ even without an account or login
like pictures of your plasma screen, cat, fuzz face builds.
In fact this is not a request to upload less, but to upload more: more gutshots, schematic and more pictures of your cats, but hosted on photobucket.
Thanks

Understood, I'll try to keep my attachments to a minimum next year, and if I do include an attachment I'll try my hardest to keep the file size down (i.e. way below 1mB)......

Maybe I just mis-interpreted what he said, but point taken......

Actually, I've given up on announcements: 100 members read it, but this is still a minority.
