opamp version is capable of giving lower output impedance (Z) and unity gain (gain = 1), Whereas the jfet's output impedance will be higher and slightly less than unity

Personally I would employ a tube buffer like this, but running with less high voltage:
I think this diagram is similar to VHT/Fryette valvulator or Coopersonic tube cleaner.
