Blue Band Diodes - 1S1588...which one?

I am hunting parts for my Analogman King of tone clone and found "blue band" diodes in an old (maybe eighties) Panasonic Video Multiplex Encoder Unit. But when looking at the colour, it is more of an light blue/almost grey type...in comparson i also removed an dark blue diode from an old multimeter. So which one is the 1S1588? Thanks for your help!

The dark blues ones look like the proper size and shape for a 1S1588.

The colour of the stripe can probably vary with age and manufacturer. It seems there's a Chinese company making repros of these now.

Could you please try if there´s an audible difference compared to a 1n4148 or 1n914 or similar?

If they sound the same, I would sell the 1S... to a fanatic Mojo-Tubescreamer fan...

Greg, your right! The light blue ones are of a more tiny size and when looking at your picture the dark blue ones are the next looking to what i have here. Thanks!

Rose, you HAVE to use the 1S1588 even if they sound the same, otherwise it won´t be a Analogman MOJO Bluesbreaker

That's true.. you can't always hear mojo.. but just knowing it's in there makes a difference.
