Gomer would have you believe that I was cheaping out to make some coin on these amps right? Fact is, I commissioned him to build them for me so I could build them and give them as gifts to my Father, my Uncle, my good friend Steve and keep one for myself. I made zero dollars on these amps. I simply wanted to accomplish two things, #1 encourage Gomer and let him know I had full confidence in his abilities as well as financially support his desire to build #2 give each of my musical mentors a gift of a hand built tweed style amp... Plain and simple... As a side note, when I went to pay Gomer he requested $350.00 each for his builds and I told him that was not enough. I offered $550.00 which he said was too much so we settled on $450.00. I am a money hungry glory hog,,, right... Oh as a note, 3 of these rigs developed problems soon after I gave them to the owners. I got them back for Gomer to check out. He kept them for a month and deemed them A-OK.. They were not . Same problems were there. So un known to Gomer (because I & Goose1 did not want to hurt his feelings) I took the amps to Goose 1 and he went through them and found all the problems and fixed them. That has been 2 years ago and they have all operated properly since. Bear in mind, Gomer does not consider Goose1 Legit because he "might not" have the knowledge to design a circuit yada yada...
