Glass_Hero - thanks for taking all those pictures for us to view! It would be extremely helpful, if we could see underneath the opamp and ht8950 on the top side. Would you be so kind as to (carfully, of course) unsocket the ic´s and take pictures of the traces revealed? The ht8950 may be static sensitve, so if you don´t its understandable.

Hey i got half the card traced.. The schematic contains some errors..i'll hand draw one and take a pic and post that.. I dont have the Sw0-S2 done..that's just a rotary switch to ground..ALSO there is a v- and a ground..one battery.. The V- comes from the negative from the power supply jack/battery..pin 11 does go to V+...so does pin 7...and there is no LED between pin 7 & 8..but there is space for one..the cap you have from pin 10 goes to ground.. Also i have to look over pins 12-14 that appears to be in error too..i'm going over that part again right now..

i have a hand drawn schematic.. you only had a few errors not much...I'll post as soon as i can..

where is the control pot at in its rotation? if it is all the way to one side it can get very oscillatory...set it in the middle..

You mean in the "normal" and "arpeggiator mode" ?

hahaa.. in all modes.. this thing gets wild... try dialing down the internal gain (1 meg pot)..

i copied his schematic... i also traced the schematic against the actually pedal.. its good..

the control pot is wired as shown.. the volume is fed by the wiper and output from the top of the pot, while the bottom goes to ground.. death by audio does this often..look at the other pedals on this site.. but either way its wired it will still attenuate signal to ground..

Ah, that will make a difference. I have it on the breadboard I thought it sounded weak.
I can't get the four modes though regardless of how I set the three SW pins. Maybe my ic's dead.

to get teh four modes toggle the sw0-sw2 to gnd.. the trace that connects the pins of the rotary switch is ground..

So, it's a tweaked DH Pitchshifter.

I never understood why he used that bi-polar power supply.

Charlie Barth used the chip's Lamp output to control a vactrol for a funky envelope function.

am i the only one who thinks the soldering on these pics sucks.....look at the pots.....terrible.....holes to big....lugs to small....traces too thin.....its been said before, but geeze....these guys have inventive circuits, but crappy workmanship....

Ran across this a little bit ago. Might be OT, so if it needs to be moved mods, understandable. Jsut thought it applied with the chip and all.

Yes, I know that, I tried all combinations (with 1 being a connection to ground, as it is internally pulled high) They just don't seem to make a difference on the chip I tried it with. I have another one, I might have fried this one.
Thanks anyway!
