i thought zvex said somewhere that there was 4 sho circuits sprinkled throughout in between octave generators or was that the octane?

I think ...correct me ......trimmer's are 4k7 (crackle ok pots of every SHO)???
and pots outside of box are just volume pots (50k or 10k) for level control of signal output...
but still ONE look  is like 1000 words.....yes????

and 2 ge diodes connected to secoundary of traffo ......

This isn't exactly how I built mine, but based on the comments in this thread it should be accurate.

Can you post a little sample for we, to make an idea how this schematic sound.
That however a last question : who made now the pcb layout ?
Thank you a lot.

Hi Boris,

I take a week of holiday on Saturday, but when I back I'll try to make the layout.
Of Sure, you can made it when I'm in holliday

Bye

hi to you Arctumeda....

you are enjoying ....having holliday!!!!!!
shame on you!!! get back and get this work done!!!!!! :D

afcourse I am joking :block: :block: :block: .......have a nice holiday,
I will try to make pcb....no problem(but I have only 4 germanium diodes)
so there will be only one octave up...... :thumbsup

would the radio shack tranny work for this? i tried it with the bobtavia with not so octave results more fuzz and just a hint of octave but not really...

Hi again all,

Hum, I think my holiday will be nice but it's only for a 10 days :(
But .... I will build my octave when I back  ( I command the parts when I back ).
for the Germanium, what diodes do u used ? I've tryed the "1N34A" of Musikding, but found that they don't succed a lot on my Machine ... Have you greater diodes than they ?
For the pcb ... I don't like to made one, because I made it why "DIY layout Creator", and I spend an Huge time on it, because I must made it from A to Z.

So, spend good time on your +1 Octave :thumbsup

Guillaume

and my friends warm up your irons!!! :block:

check this....becouse it is not vryfied :thumbsup

ooo yes ..there is missing 100 mF condensator after 100 ohm resistor(9v..pover ),but it can be added later :slap:

Just remember that "SW2" on my schematic is a standard foot-switch. So the switch on the output is the same switch (SW2). "SW1," though not shown on the schematic, would be bypass.

Yes...thank You. :) ...both switches on my layout are the same SW2....I was sleepy last night :? .......

but did you check the layout???? is everything OK???
:cheers

Hi Boris,
Your layout might work, but I dont understand how you wire the "SW2", because it controlled the "end of Circuit 2" and the "end of circuit 1, before the output section".
I've too search the "TL002" transformer but I don't find one everywhere ? WTF !!!
So where have you (Whitekeyhole) find your transformer ? What is the value for the Primary and the Secondary source because I don't find the datasheet on the net    ...
So, for helping we a little more can you take a photo of your wired for the switc, because your explainations are not so light for me.
I'll post my perfboard layout I'm making for this pedal (make a pcb is very expensive ... ) next days.

Thank you Boris and Whitekeyhole for the help for this amazing pedal.

Guillaume ( scuse me a lot for my shitty english  )

SW1 is not shown.....it is true bypass switc...(you can do that alone)
SW2...

you have to make 2 jonny circuits if you want 2 octaves up
on the secound pcb connect points 1 and 2......
...it is simple....signal goes through jonny1........or (SW2 in other position) through jonny1 and jonny2.......and to output jack

Ok, ty to answer me quickly.
I know how to wire an bypass switch, but my problem will to wire the second switch, who mutch activate the first octave, and desactivate the second simultaly ( or reversly ), so ty for your help.
However, you've not answer to me for the transducter. Where I find the datasheet or an of this f**** component ....
So, have you begin to build yours ( where have u find these TL002 ??? )

Regards,

Guillaume

ok call me retarded if you will but i just want to try to get off the short bus on this one...

so... you have 2 pcbs of the exact same circuit... switch 1 activates one, which produces the 1 octave up... then when switch 2 is engaged it activates the 2nd pcb producing the 2nd octave up and thats it? so your just slamming the same circuit in series to wrench another octave out of it? neato... 8)
