Hi again, Bajaman. The schematic link appears to be broken...

Hi NickS
I have fixed the link to the Baja Trembulator schematic. :)
Thanks for bringing this to my attention
cheers

Thank you!
(I still haven't got around to tweaking the homebuilt HH VS module to the "correct" mid frequency...)

Somebody has the demeter trem schematics????

The first link will not work anymore as the image host says that the page ca not be found. On the other side I´ve read it has many errors...

If somebody could help me...

For people who know both, what are the differences between the demeter and the EA tremolo? I just feel like the sound on the demeter is a bit too radical while the EA is more "gracefull". Sorry for my english, but is difficult to explain this things when not talking in your mother language. Thanks for the help in Advance.

Torchy has removed the Demeter Tremulator schematic links.
Build my Baja Trembulator though - schematic and pcb layout is still there - it has a smoother sine wave oscillator instead of the Demeter sawtooth oscillator.

A pm received prompts me to ask, Steve, do you have the schematic for the trem on the HH IC100 series? Actually, you may get a pm too.

(Did I tell you I now own 4 HH amps?)

Thanks baja, I already checked your baja trembulator and hopefully production will give me time to build it pretty soon. I think your approach is really... shit, my english is not that good... really... ¿innovative? Usually using old well known stuff for new approaches in pedals work great! And I guess you found the one that works good for this schematic :thumbsup

We are thinking about building a tremolo at bricktone and I really like your approach, Ill probably try to build it into a wah enclosure and see if I can make it go stereo somehow.

Anyway of building an analog tap tempo device into this one? Thanks for all the help guys!

Hi there,

I'd just like to know what's the procedure to set the trimpot for the LED of the Vactrol? By ear? Or by any sort of calculations?

Thank you for your help, and again nice job Bajaman...

This pedal gets a lot of praise but I'm not crazy about it. To my ear, the wave is too lopsided, and there's way too much low-frequency throb. I owned one for awhile and sold it.

Have you checked out my improved Baja TremBulator - In the Complete Projects section of the forum. It uses a true sinewave oscillator for a very smooth and NON lopsided tremelo effect.

Baja, you don't have the original tremulator schematic and pcb that torchy posted?

I will for sure try out the baja trem, but I would like to build them both...or at least breadboard them for comparison.

If you (or anyone else) have the original files, could you please send 'em to me? Pm or mail - benjamin.niklasson [at] gmail.com

Best regards /Ben

Just received these via a very helpful member down at DIYStompboxes, so I'd love to leave them here for future reference, if that's ok.

I was also told: "There is an error on this schematic, R8 should go to the junction of R7, R6 and D1 rather than the output of the op-amp."

(Kudos to Baja and his Trembulator, but I fear that it'd be too much of a "nice" tremolo and not at all that heart-stopping throb that we all know & love from Ry Cooder's albums...)

so I've been after this pedal for a long time, after hearing what Jonny Greenwood did with it. In my mind, this is the perfect tremolo: great slow to very fast speed range on one knob that sounds good at any setting, depth, and NOTHING ELSE in a small MXR sized box. I didn't want all the extra Supa Trem switches and blinking LEDs. I already have a Tremulus Lune for my tweaky tremolo needs. This thing is utilitarian, tiny footprint (important to me, increasingly, with the number of effects I seem to like) and most importantly sounds beautiful. I'd put it easily on par with my original Fender Showman amp tremolo, but with no click noise! it doesn't "exactly" do that warm tweed style sine-wave swampy pulse that my Silvertone amp will do, but to my great surprise, even at slower settings the slope of this tremolo still sounds beautiful. I just love the aggressive "wop wop wop" you get out of this thing. Forgive my excitement, I've just found my holy grail tremolo.

I didn't want to build the supa trem, and also not the Baja Trembulator or Madbean Double Flush because of the deviation from the basic form of this original unit, which was designed in the 80s, which in my opinion can not be improved on, although I do like the subtly heavier bass sound of the Supa Trem. Haven't heard the Baja.

I built it on perfboard using a weird layout that's been posted around, and a weird schematic, which both had errors, that I've corrected and included below. In retrospect I should have used a stripboard layout, but I wanted to try point to point on perf for some reason...it was a true headache for a tight layout like this, I won't be doing that much again. Time to learn how to etch copper clad. Here's my work, hopefully this will help any future builders--
