I think the rest of your schematic is correct, so the rat nest should be correct and the layout too. I can't think of any other potential mistake.

I highlighted the change in the layout on the following pdf so people have the option to just cut the traces and bridge to the pads accordingly instead of re-etching.

I consider this 110% fixed!!! Not only that, it sounds even better than the original, if that's even possible!?!?! This is probably the best sounding pedal I own to date!!! I LOVE THIS THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The gain is MASSIVE and the tone is MASSIVE!!! The gate separate from the gain pot is a MUST!!! WOW WOW WOW!!!

Thanks to rcustoms too!!! Great work!!

And bajaman!!

Ok, this is officially my FAVORITE high gain preamp now!!! The notes are VERY defined and contrary to the sound demos on youtube it is excellent for lead as well! Not many of my builds ever make it into an enclosure but you can bet yer sweet ass this one will!!! Triple Wreck is a close second and will also be mounted inside an enclosure!

Plus, I can't find anything wrong with it, at all!! Nothing, nada, zip... Works perfectly! Very happy, can you tell?

Yes, new opinion... Definitely separated!! I don't like the gate tracking the gain pot at all, too much gate = note decay and fizzle out sounds at the tail of notes etc. But don't go without it totally, noisy as hell on max gain setting! Unless you have another gate like a Decimator or something. Even the Triple Wreck is very noisy on max gain.. Shielded wire is a must!

I don't have a cam that's worth a shit for audio so I will just do a PC direct recording... But trust me, it's skull krushing!!! no need for a tube screamer in front at all, sounds and feels like it already has one!! And tight ain't no joke!!

I used the rcustoms layout so I used the schematic attached with it... Pretty much the same as the bajaman/jymaze schematic except for the TL074

Hey rcustoms,
please post a new pcb layout as pdf. The corrected one isn´t clean enough. Is it really black/white?

The latest version of your schemes R19 in series with P1 pot should be 15k.
