Demeter Tremulator - disable volume boost/added presence

I have a Demeter Tremulator, but I hate the slight volume boost/high end that gets added when I use the tremolo. Is there a way to disable this / set to unity gain. I know some like the boost because it helps with the signal when trem is on, but I prefer to use guitar volume - plus the high end / presence that get's added annoys me.
