Nothing that I can find on the TA-100, but there is a thread on the TK-23 . That might help a little, not sure.

This is one of those pedals I would definitely purchase if I had the money. It seems to be an original design and if it pleases Ryan Adams ears I could only imagine it sounds great. I play a similar amp to him, BF Princeton Reverb clone, too.

Typically if a post goes more than a few days without any real replies, there is no help to be given, unfortunately. When people at this forum have info, they are usually quick to share it.
Which means you get to buy one and post pictures.
PS: Welcome to the forum !

the treble booster, booster, overdrive, and compressor all sound very similar from the clips posted. i wouldn't be surprised if they were closely related.

There's one for sale on TGP right now http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showth ... telenordia. From the guts, the first tranny is a buffer exactly like the tremolo, then there's some clipping diodes, and two more trannies, so my guess is one is a rangemaster, then some clippers to ground with a crude tone control and either another buffer or boost stage.

Aren't those DC jacks non isolated???? Then it must be a pos ground pedal!horiehan wrote:And another guts.

I built a one, sound is close to TA-100 on youtube.
Knobs work little differently, however.
I drew a schematic below based on KindaFuzzy's TT3 schematic and Rangemaster.

Let me hear your opinions or thoughts if you have.

There's another one for sale, too rich for my blood, but I'm trying to see if I can get a trace side photo. http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showth ... Telenordia

Accidentally broke the drive pot on mine and opened it up to repair tonight. Figured I should probably reverse it while it was open. Build quality is great, but TBH, it sounds like complete ass with the drive knob above 3 o clock or so, and it doesn't have much gain below that. Not worth the new price, or even the average used price honestly. Only got it because I took it in on a trade. Q1 is unknown. It's in a flanged package like the AC128s, so it's a germanium, but it isn't labeled, and an NPN would make more sense in that position based on the values, IMO.

Based on the voltages I would say it was a PNP, 200mV is consistent with it being germanium PNP.mmolteratx wrote:Q1 is unknown. It's in a flanged package like the AC128s, so it's a germanium, but it isn't labeled, and an NPN would make more sense in that position based on the values, IMO.
If it were NPN a VBE of 5V is way too high.

I am missing (at least) a capacitor between C7 and R12/13.... just saying.

You're right. Fixed.
D'oh. Dunno how I missed that one. Also fixed. Had it on my hand drawn copy and it didn't make its way to the electronic one. Here are pics of the top/bottom.tube-exorcist wrote:I am missing (at least) a capacitor between C7 and R12/13.... just saying.

Old thread I know, but if it helps I have TA-100 #103 in front of me right now and all three trannies are AC128. Does anyone want me to look at anything else? It's a very good sounding light overdrive. Not mine, so I can't pull it apart! But any other info I can provide let me know.

Hi This is an inverted circuit, for working from conventional power supplies with negative ground.
Do I understand correctly that I can deploy any scheme of old germanium PNP fuzzes and boosts from a conventional power supply with negative ground?
For example, rangemaster or Fuzz Face, as Zvex did in Fuzz Factory?
