Thats a sweet looking layout! Only Q, I wonder how the board is mounted? I don't see any screws or other hardware. Very strong connections to pots etc but I wouldn't depend on them to hold the board in place. Maybe they put double sided tape on the trace side? That would probably work well with those connections.
OT - it's kind of a funny coincidence; I have been thinking along those same lines lately. Put the connections closer to where the parts will be mounted. Been working on this layout for the Kay tremolo. It's not as nice but getting there.

Untested BTW and I'm not sure when or if I'll get around to building it.

I have a full screen high resolution pic as well (app. 3Mb), but this compressed pic has 98% of the quality of the original but can be better handled.
Use IRFAN-View to remove the blue touch of the pic and add some contrast...

I can´t believe it.The board is taped into the enclosure with 3M double sided tape.
Hows about a picture of the other (solder) side ?I have this thing in my possesion right now.
The pcb-layout is very similar to the DirectDrive.

There´s a sucker born every minute - and too many of them end up in the bootweak pedal biz.
