No problem at all TMZ, thanks for sharing! We do have a lot of Japanese members, but there is still a language barrier.TMZ wrote:It mistook. I am sorry.
I think a lot of people here would like know more about the Japanese DIY pedal world.

Quick question, is that boost section a seperate piece or is it just show seperately here as an example?Igloo wrote:
Also, Is 'Gain 3' connection marked twice and where is the output from? Vol 2 connection?
Many Thanks,

I want to make a box of rock standalone distortion side only, I dont want the boost section. Anyone have a vero layout of this? Or can explain how I would go about this?

I'll plug my layout too, since it's the only PCB I've designed

hey mark your layout looks tight. nice work. It looks like you did what I was looking for, you left out the extra sho and boost section. Nice, I might have to learn how to etch now.
I don't see the similarity between the BOR and the BSIAB. The more I look at the SHO the more convinced I am that the idea came from a big muff stage. And the suggestive name Mosfets bias up very similar to a bipolar transistor. The BOR looks more like a mosfet big muff without the diodes.

The comparison comes from the fact that the BOR uses a Big Muff tone stack with the BSIAB2 values.Jim777 wrote:I don't see the similarity between the BOR and the BSIAB. I've heard that before too, and based on that alone IMO the claim that the BOR is a "BSIAB2 clone" is tenuous. My guess is Zvex saw how popular all the "amp sim" jfet circuits were and decided to take a stab at that approach with his beloved MOSFET.MoreCowbell wrote: The comparison comes from the fact that the BOR uses a Big Muff tone stack with the BSIAB2 values.
