Devi Ever - Legend of Fuzz

Just took some pics of this one. There are six transistors in this thing! No wonder it's so $#%$%# loud!

2 metal cans are 2N2907 and 2N2222. Not sure what the 4 plastic transistors are (they look like they say BH52 and then something else then A111). Or the caps. My eyes aren't good enough to read them. Guess I need a magnifying glass. Was hoping they'd be legible in pics but not so sure, at least not without some image enhancement.

Anyway, posting pics in hi-res as I don't know when I'll have time to draw up a schematic but figured others may want to take a look.

Cool, you should probably change the pics to links though because it took ages for my page to load.
Can you check the values of the caps, transistor types and write them on the pic over each part? also take a photo above the pedal so we can see all the wiring, since its two PCB's this is essential to work it out, for me anyways.
Thanks for the pics anyways.

Looks like a bunch of simple boosters all in series with two of the stages having the doubled-up combo of two different transistors.
Is a bunch of boosters in series the noise fuzz equivalent of the of the Tube Screamer? I'm starting to see a trend with these things.

I suspected it was a bit like Doug Deeper's Random Number Generator and looks like maybe it is, with more stages. The gain this thing puts out is ungodly.

im coming out with a pedal that has 2 bunches of boosters.

Doug,

Your new pedals sound awesome based on the clips at PGS. Congrats on some real innovations. I know you said earlier you pay the bills with these things and would rather schematics not be posted. I for one will honor that request if I'm lucky enough to buy one.

The Psych Byke isn't one of your wackiest-sounding designs, but it sounds very original. And useable. Anyone know of another fuzz that sounds like that one?

i think there is a lot of that doubling up of the transistors going on in these designs. i saw that in my aenima as well.

Here are some pcb layouts I did in DIY layout creator... Took me about 10-15 minutes, so there may be some errors. I didn't get any of the wires, as I couldn't really make out a lot of the wires (either too dark or too bright, sorry), though I'll try to get them in later.
Also, I'll need someone else to add in the component values.

Here's the larger board with component values and the wires as best as I can make out.

... And, here's the smaller board.
The first version I posted was backwards, sorry.
It may still need some corrections.

As far as I can tell from the pictures, there's just a pre-input 100k pot (Control) going into the small board, a wire from the out of the small board into the large board and then a post-output 100k pot(volume).
The resistor connected to the "Control" pot seems to be going to -9v.

?What changes you get using a doubled transistor array?

Seconded. I'm mostly interested in the 33/SilverCrank side. I tried to trace from the pics but something just seems odd about the traces/components ratio...

Hi,

according to this unverified schematic above, here is my unverified layout. Maybe someone wants to give a try. Watchout the last transistor couple - the E's are antiparallel here.

Cheers
Helge

Has anyone had an opportunity to test/verify the posted layouts? I'm looking to attempt my first build and, well, I don't want a standard fuzz face.
