Interesting huh..
especially seeing it's in the same paint scheme used on the Blackmarket copies.
That sparkly Black is easy to buy now from pedalpartplus, but I wonder how common it was when the CJODs were built ?
But it is the right enclosure and the wiring looks similar.

Hi, I'm working on a pretty close replica from pics on this forum. I will post other pics with components soon, and a single sided board. I'm guessing the pcb was double sided to make things that little bit more difficult to work out.
old mojo is hard to root out - but so much fun. I could build my own board for this but, I like working some of these out for fun. I'll put in values etc over next few days. Hope some people might get something from it.

Please school me, why the blur out?
"Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."
The pic is off Ebay and the seller blurred it out.
You're right that it's not a particularly useful picture to save for posterity, but the link to the Ebay auction will eventually be pointless without the pic.

OK, Here's a bit more for anyone who's interested. A one sided PCB of the Black Martket FX - CJOB. Hopefully very close to the original layout. Added two jumpers, moved a few traces (some very close to pads), moved or shortened a resistor, and thickened up the traces.
I'll put up another pic with components soon, it's getting late here in Tasmania (Australia).
So, with all of the entertaining hullabaloo over this pedal, should I build a CJOD, a Landgraff, or a TS?
No ... seriously.

I can tell you I picked up an SD-1 cheap, did AG's (THANKS) CJOD mods.
What I like: when you find the sweet spot, you can get what I guess is called bloom. After you play a note, you get what must be some compression, and as that releases there is a small swell in volume, similar to a driven tube amp heading into feedback.
What I don't like: the tone is too crunchy by the time you find the sweet spot. Also the overall tone isn't for me.
I like to run Guitar--> CJOD---> Jetter Gain Stage Red (Soulsonic outed this as a Zendrive Clone)--> Amp.
For whatever reason the Jetter/Zendrive cleans the crunchy tone up, wish I knew why. Maybe one of the electronics super whizzes here can explain!
