A lot of work went into that goop job.... all to no avail.
Now he can save himself some trouble and not goop.

Basic tone control.... [smilie=a_zzz.gif]

One mod to it would be to add an output buffer. Inverters have quite high output impedance, may be an issue driving low impedance inputs. How I found out? Millenium bypass wasn't working with it...

Be careful when you say that, eternity can be quite long, esp. toward the end. 8)

I build this one, and i must say this is the best amplike sounding overdrive i played in a long time, the feel is very tube and cleaning up very well on my strat wich has a 150pf cap on the vol pot. The only thing i had to alter was c10 and r14 into 10n and 39k because on the neck pu it was sounding to muddy.Maybe there is a mistake on the schematic,i played on a original that did not have this problem.I used a bc550c as input buffer and build 2 footswiches in the box, one for a extra gain control and the other as true bypass.Has anyone build this one yet?

According to what is printed on the schematic -

"IC1 is unknown, probably a CD4069 or 74HCU04"

:)

That actually looks like a pretty nice circuit. I think the "bias" control would more appropriately be called "symmetry" but whatever...

Add that and an output buffer and I would give that circuit my stamp of approval. Oh and cease and desist with the epoxy crap. :D
