Speaking of Way Huge...schematics?
- The Rotagilla
- Diode Debunker
I know a few have surfaced here and there and that most if not all the pedals were tweaked versions of existing designs. Other than the Red Llama and Swollen Pickle, has anyone come across anything else?

I would love to know what the angry troll and sasquatch is.
schematics would be great.

Forgot about the Saffron Squeeze!
I understand many of them are actualy clones or inspired by classic efects, so, please help me complete this list (and correct me if I'm wrong), I guess it would sure shed some light over it:
green rhino = tube screamer
red llama = tube sound fuzz
saffron squeeze = ross comp
piercing moose = ???
rog's foot = fuzz face
swollen pickle = big muff
tone lepper = ???
aqua puss = ???
I know there are more, but can't remember everything right now.
Thanx

About purple platypus, anybody knows or guesses who comes first? Ringer or Drive? Or was it switchable?polarbearfx wrote:purple platypus is a redllama and a green ringer

Is it acurate to say that the octave comes from a green ringer style octaver, or it is generated otherhow, like a fender blender or foxx style, or even like a unifuzz style??
Thankx!

Thankx AG
I see the piercing moose aparently is a foxx tone machine, he even uses what apparently are those cute roundheaded 3565.
Still not making any conections on the octave part of the playtipus tho

A little over 100 Purple Platypus were made in total.
It is not a clone of an Ampeg Scrambler... Sorry.
It's an overdrive with a frequency doubler and other sauce to it...
-Mr. Huge
analogguruThe Purple Platypus is a symphonic overdrive and frequency doubler combination that gives the effect of an octave above the original note. With its eerie overtones and lush overdrive you can create octaves from clean and beautiful to down right massive. "Instant Purple Haze" Guitarist Magazine (Dec. '96). "The Platypus' weighty fuzz sound rumbles and sputters, and the pedal definitely puts out enough level to clobber your amp" Guitar Player Magazine (Sept. '96). It also does incredibly convincing sitar sounds! Units have volume and drive controls.
