Does someone have a veroboard layout, esp for the new version?

Built this thing last week.
Didn't work in the first place, but later on I spotted a connection between traces due to a bad etch. After the fix it started working. Everything works well, sounds great, however i consistently wired all of the 4 pot meters backwards.

Here are some pics and will post some sound samples later.

Hi guys,
I do it again hehehe... it's my new THN Reeza :D
Housing it's a box from USB stick, no foot switch bcoz is always standing at top of amplifier( BTW it's my own production, ECL86, 3W for home use)
I found 2 pcs OKI MSN4069RS IC in my old video recorder, its work much better than MCY74049 which I use before, so I change it also in my old Reeza, now is clearly difference in bias potentiometer.

BTW I get question about potentiometer names, so once again schematic with descriptions

And my small and simply amplifier 8)

Regards!

P.S.
Don't waste you time and build your own THN Reeza, it's great fun with this box :thumbsup

Ive built 2 of these from the THN project... 1 from the THN pcb layout and one of my own from the THN schematic... both circuits are dead.

both audio signal die at pin 1 of IC... not sure what is wrong.

PCB image is in mirror, so maybe try to turn up/down your IC 4069,

notice also that you need to have UB - unbuffered version of CD4069

Hi, I have no idea where you can buy it, I just disassemble my old AKAI tape video recorder.
BTW all parts in my second Reeza are from this recorder

I find only one shop with this part:

I have used the 74HCU04 14 pin chip in distortion circuits designed for the 4049ube and they work very well. I'm not sure if the pins match up. ;)

thn.technik, why you won't use of classic fender of marshall tonestack. If we'll take kind of fender tonestack we'll get more mids deep & possibility to get some freq distribution

main problem with "classic fender" tone stack is that if you put 10V RMS at input then you get 1V RMS at output, so you need to do x10 amplifier for signal.

I just wanted to gloat a little - bought a mk1 for £40 inc. postage. Sounds great so far, really looking forward to cranking it through a decent tube amp at rehearsal.

It seems very well voiced, the tone control (just one on this) is perfect at 12 o'clock, same with the volume and bias...in fact I'd be happy just running everything at noon.

Loved the "circuit window". Why don't ALL pedals have that? Would save us a lot of trouble...
...collectors together and emitter to base? You're such a darling...

The problem is not that components are close to each other, but it has a very problematic ground. PWR GND and SIGNAL GND, there is no "star GND" point.

here's mine.
my first etched PCB.
and second wrong IC mirroring :slap: (its on the back of the board)
did the thn.technic layout.
man it was dark sounding.
changed the low pass filter after the tone control and voila
it sounds great now.
i used 470K pots instead of 500K.
could this make a big difference on the sound?

That bias control is interesting. Is it just starving the op-amps and preventing them from amplifying the whole wave properly?
