I had a friend email me some pix of his voyager and I took a picture of my Iron Horse before I got rid of it. It appears to me that the Iron Horse is Rat-ish and the Voyager might be Klon-ish? Maybe you can guys can figure out more based on these pix:

I see they use the 4-Site footswitch PCB / 7-gang ribbon wire.

Why no strain relief on the battery leads?

I'd also like to know if we can confirm the Voyager as a Klone or being Klon based.

Any more info folks?

They've now released a Mayflower which some people are saying may be a Timmy.

I don't see it being a Timmy. A pic posted of it shows two opamps and a couple of trannys. There's one opamp and no trannys in a Timmy. But this rumor already has some legs on it which is a major drag. It singles my stuff out in a world of pedals with bass/treble knobs.

Gutshot of the Mayflower is in Burg's video demo. Did a quick look over and it looks like the top left IC in it (as well as the Iron Horse), looks to be a charge pump supplying bipolar rails. Just based on what I can see of the connections from the top of course. Then an input and output transistor buffer. Would not be surprised if the rest of the circuit looks very Timmy-ish. Iron Horse looks to be a bi-polar Rat (Landy mods) and the Voyager is most definitely a Klon variant. Might order a few to take a peek.

I had a look inside a friend's Voyager and degooped the IC's and both opamps are TL072CP's. . . I think the diodes were 1N34A's and 1N4001's and a zener. How is this any different than a Klon? I know that they DO sound different because I played them side by side. Anyone have any more information on the Voyager and what mods were done?

Hey mijomo, that's a fantastic contribution!...

Is there a possibility that you could take more pictures?, from different angles maybe...and also write down some component values?

or even better... if you know how to, you could disassemble the unit to have a clear view of the PCB and component values...it's not hard to do

we really will apreciate that...

Plaase, excuse my bad english... i'm writting from Chile!
