Sorry if this sounds like a novice question but then again, I am a novice lol.
I'm building my first treble booster circuit and I want to know if a .047u cap is the same as a 4.7uf?
Are they two totally different entities or what?
Confused!!
Paul

They are different, as both are in uF.
Equivalent to .047uF = 47nF = 47000pF .
Hope it helps. Best regards!!

There's loads of info online to help you get familiar with the different units and conversion between them.

Yep, as with most metric measuring systems, the units go up by factors of 1000, so 1uF (microfarad) = 1000nF (nanofarad) = 1000, 000pF (picofarad).

After a few times of thinking about it, you will be converting without any effort; If it doesn't stick, an internet search for "capacitance convertor" will bring up half a dozen online calculators.

So I'm looking for...
.047u = 47nf
.0047u = 4.7nf
.001u = 1nf
??

What about the 2 47u electrolytic caps??
