This was redrawn from an Australian electronics magazine...
I use this to test with.

Very simple sine wave genarator. The trick in this one, is that harmonic cancellation is used to get a very low distortion sine wave. Output amplitude stability is also very good.

I hope this is of use to others.

Here is another schematic also from Electronics Australia magazine. This one is has a sweep-able frequency of some where around 735Hz to 18kHz. The distortion is only 0.16%. Output is 1.27Vrms.

Nice design, should be fine for general troubleshooting work, most of the time you can just get by with a sinewave generator that doesn't have low-distortion, this should be on everyone's "To Build" list..... :thumbsup

Hi, a search for a sine wave generator led me to this thread. The generator looks ideal for my needs, & simple enough to build on vero board, however I do have one query. On the left of the schematic are 4 caps (switchable) that are designated 1u, 0.1u, 0.01u & 0.001u, however to the left of these is marked 0.22u, 0.022u, 0.002u & 220p. Does anyone know wot gives here? Simple enough to try both lots of values, I am just hoping that there is someone who has built this that could clarify.
Thank in advance. Cheers
