Amptweaker - Tight Metal [traced]

Yep, did not detail the PSU too much. Basically it is like I represented, except it happens multiple times around the board, sometimes with decoupling, sometimes not, sometimes with a resistor to the opamp non-inverting input, sometimes not. It is very random as I see it. I would make one solidly decoupled Vref and use it for all needs. The main 9v is also decoupled with a big 100u cap and a smaller 100n poly cap, it feeds the opamps directly. Then there is a low pass filter (6.8k and 22u) that leads to the voltage point used for all the Vref points. It is a very oversized PSU, but whatever... I can draw it if you really want...
Also, I retraced and found an error around the tight control, so here it is again, correct for now at least: The diodes between the inputs are a little mysterious to me... from the output to the input, fine, but across the inputs... Whatever... Not sure they ever rectify anything, but who knows...

I guess they are just for protection?jymaze wrote:The diodes between the inputs are a little mysterious to me... from the output to the input, fine, but across the inputs... Whatever... Not sure they ever rectify anything, but who knows...
Anyway, thanks for tracing!

I will try to go over it tonight against the board... May make a layout in Sprint if I get ambitious?jymaze wrote:Repost, the bottom of the schematic got cut-out by my scanner. This one is fine:

I don't have any simulation software so it's gonna be freestyle for me...

can't decipher the component connected to lug 3 of the tone pot. can't read if its 33k or 33n
also, the pots might be reversed wired on my eagle file
and not sure diode types

it would be interesting to know what the diodes are - schottky, zeners, ultrafast, general purpose

I tried a noise gate like that once and was disappointed in its performance. I guess I didn't have enough gain before it.

as drawn in the eagle schematic, the Gate pot is backwards. The resistance should increase as the gain is turned up.
