i don't think anybody will take apart a 300 bucks pedal to discover it was your average full range clean boost and midboost in series,apart from the switching system,its something you can put together combining existing known circuits.jstbrowsin wrote: anybody got anything that can be traced. I highly doubt anyone can trace it without a tester and desoldering boards...

you can PM pics to my email,i'll try to guess at least the architecture....
I tried really hard to remove the board from the enclosure but I could not take it apart. Somehow the pots and stuff are connected to the board in a way that it cannot be removed easily. I have a high resolution shot of the guts. But not from the other site of the board and the second board. So this probably won't help.

There's not much magic here...it's just a mid-boost / clean-boost.
Anyone can design this - the key is the center frequency and Q.
If I might give you a clue - check out modern graphic EQ schematics for a solution to this pedal....

Looks like this thread hasbeen sitting a while. Who would destroy a high dollar pedal??...well I guess that would be me...or someone like me!
Attached is the slideshow to all of the photos for the Koko Boost. It also includes the BOM (Bill of Materials). A couple components are questionable as I tested them on the board, then off, but my iron is taking a sh*t after 25 years and decided to go to 1000 deg andvaporized them!
I sent the information to the people at Guitar FX Layouts, but it's been a long while (year or two) andthey still haven't released anything for it, so posting it here and anywhere else I/we can get some traction to get the full schematic and board made to clone it. A LOT of people use the pedal, soitmust be good and to be able to clone it, a LOT of people willbe interested in it. I don't have the time right now, but at least all of the pics, BOM, and information is available if someone wants to tackle it and be a god is some folks' eyes!

looks interesting - can be done without relay
essentially a variable gain stage followed by a mid boost and then buffered to the output.
the unknown capacitor values should not be to difficult to figure out.

VREF means the half supply voltage, CON means the control voltage sent by the switching circuit.
