Hi all,

UKToecutter has come up with a really nice clone board for Gemini III Dual Fuzz. It's a really nice fuzz circuit, that can cover a great amount of ground. One side gemanium, the other side silicon, with gain switches for both, and a blend knob in the middle. The board does not carry the Mill. II bypass, or ferrite bead, since we've found that it doesn't really need the extra bells and whistles. The unit is pop free, sounds great, and fits nicely into a 1590BB. Also, on the germanium side, he has done a nice job enlarging the space, and accomodating ECB pinouts, for those big russian germanium transistors, so even a GT 402/404 will fit nicely in here. You can check out my Hen's Tooth Cafe videos, I've done videos of both this build, and my previous build using the Russian transistors. Even the silicon side is open for use of different types of transistors, so you can tailor the circuits to your taste.

I personally built one up recently, and have verified that the board is error free. Here are some pics of the board, and my build;

Right now, this is purely a show of hands exersice to gauge interest. If there is enough folks that want it, then UKT will do a run. Like the Ludwig and PLL boards, a run of 50 boards will probably happen if we get 30 or more show of hands. If we surpass 50 yeas!, then he might do more.

Cost per board (limit three boards per customer), including shipping to anywhere in North America, is;

$9.50 for one board.
$15.00 for two boards.
$21.00 for three boards.

For the rest of the world, UKT will be handling the shipping from his end, so I'll let him chirp in with what it will cost.

Please don't step up and say "OK", if you think that you're going to bail out later. I had a few people do that for Ludwig and PLL boards. We did sell them all in the end, but we don't feel like getting stuck with a bunch either. Thanks.

Do you have a schematic for the actual boards on sale? I notice that we don't have a schem or link to the final schem here at FSB - https://www.freestompboxes.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=16851

Please see this thread;

https://www.freestompboxes.org/viewtopic ... i&start=60

These boards do not carry the ferrite beads, or Millenium bypass. Other than that, they are as per the schematic. Also note, in the transistor voltages that I've listed in the thread, Q2 voltages should be listed for Q3, and vice versa.

Prices for UK and Europe are:

1 board £5.95
2 boards £9.40
3 boards £13.15

For the Rest of the World I need to know how many and what country.

Regards

Andy

Here's a couple more pics.

On this build I used the Russian GE transistors. I put heatshrink sleeving over the cans to prevent any shorts.

OK everyone, boards are on the way. I think I'll have 30 boards available, so whoever spoke up first (I made a list), will have first dibs when the come in. I'll make another announcement when they arrive, and I'll list who has rights to them as well.

There will be a 2 week grace period for those who expressed interest to claim they're boards, after which unclaimed boards will sell on a "first come, first serve" basis.

I'll also be posting a link for the BOM, and any pertinent build notes, shortly.

Hi all,
The boards are in, and ready to ship. I've PM'd those that preordered for payment, so please check your in boxes. All those who spoke up first, get first dibs on boards, so if you haven't received a PM requesting payment, it's because your name wasn't high enough on the list for the amount of boards available.

There is a 2 week grace period from notification for payment. In the case of non-payment, the board(s) will become available to the next one remaining on the list, or whoever contacts me first thereafter. I will not run after people for payment. Fair warning.

The build doc and BOM for the project may be downloaded from here;

Please make note of your forum user name, along with your shipping info. Just so I know who is who. Sorry, I forgot to mention it before.

All the boards are spoken for at the moment, but those requesting now will be noted for the possibility of any boards that don't get picked up.

Thanks,
Dino

Would love to give this build a try too...any chance of another run of boards?

Thank you!
