Footswitch explained

Ok, you got your soldering iron and nothing is going to hold you back, but you have no clue where to start or what to build. There were others before you with the same questions... read them first.

I have some extra 3pdt switches. Can anyone help me connect one to turn off/on my dying battery simulator? http://beavisaudio.com/Projects/DBS/

You don't need a 3pdt switch for that. A SPDT will be sufficient.

Uh, then you just use one third of the switch and leave the other 2/3 disconnected.

it's simple: use 1/3 of the switch

3PDT is (almost) like three SPDT switches connected together in one package.
