I have finished the re-design of this platform to make it more of a "regular" DIY build. I based it on the Ursa Minor

http://diy.smallbearelec.com/Projects/U ... aMinor.htm

but the basic idea is applicable to anything that will fit on a 60mm x 60mm piece of perf or PCB. You can build inexpensively and still have the "no stomped pots" benefit of the enclosure. A full kit is available

as well as individual parts for those who want to roll-their-own.

Please recommend the Ursa Minor to first-time builders who want a carefully-thought-out and well-supported project.

Steve,
While browsing through the article,
Why do you instruct people to cut the tab on their pots instead of showing them how to make use of that tab and increase the reliability of their pedals?
Sorry. Plain out of planes.

Hi Dirk--

Point noted. Pls keep in mind that my audience for this article is a beginner who might not have a drill. In this case, I wanted to keep the instructions and the build as simple as possible, even at some sacrifice of mechanical stability.
