The easiest way is to simply bypass the buffer with a dip switch or panel mount toggle
Couple of spdt or one dpdt should do the job
You can also turn on and off buffer's dc supply with another spdt to save your battery when you are in true bypass mode

There is no way it shouldn't.
Also you'd better adjust your buffer's output volume to match the bypassed signal if you haven't done it yet.

strange it seemed to me then that I have drawn corresponds to the fact that you sent the link to me
regarding the volume knob - it was designed by MXR as I wrote above
on my circuit bypass DPDT switch goes on and there are 2 position
first bypass
second buffer
pins 1 and 4 on the bypass
5 and 2 are connected by track
6 and 3 on the buffer
that is, the buffer may be included along with a booster and separately

Hello
I redid the circuit, I want to ask whether all is correct
Switch 1 is a 3PDT stompbox
Switch 2 is a DPDT bypass true or buffer

This might help clarify the switch wire up you need. I've left out the Led as I'm sure that is ok :thumbsup
Phil.
