Hello,
I need a small help in building a splitter to split the signal from my bass guitar to a balanced line driver and a bass amp. The circuit I'm looking at using for this purpose is http://www.runoffgroove.com/splitter-blend.html. Just the splitter part of it. The question is will this work as intended? If yes, do I need to change capacitor values for bass? Also, I would like to control the volume to the amp (and maybe the line driver too) from the pedal itself, can this be done by changing both the 1M resistors on the right of the circuit to 1M log pots?
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks.

Yes your idea is ok for the unbalanced line to the Bass amp,, (Just add a series low value resistor on the output ,, try around 500R)
BUT you need a more complex circuit for Balanced line driver.
Jensen Transformers used to have a whole pile of PDF files showing how to wire up balanced and unbalanced circuits,, don't know if it still exists?
http://www.jensentransformers.com You might have to dig to find them.
Also ESP site has a few balanced circuits.
This one it's fairly simple,, but requires split supply;

I Just googled " balanced line driver schematic" and found quite a few circuits.
Some may well be crap but I'm sure it's not hard to find out which is best with the help of some teck folks here
Phil.

Hi
to make a simple line driver, you can also have a look to some ICs:
http://www.thatcorp.com/1600-series_Bal ... _ICs.shtml
http://www.analog.com/media/en/technica ... SM2142.pdf
http://www.ti.com/product/DRV135
This may helps to reduce part count.
