Borrowed this for an afternoon to take a look inside. Yet another 386 circuit, yawn... But it actually doesn't sound too bad over the whole gain range, still nothing to write home about though.

For reference, the Purple Plexi and the Black Magic.

That looks a lot like a Mr. Black layout.

They are quite cozy. Very close....

And LP products seem to break into 7 main categories. possibly 8, but I've never seen a trace for the Toxic Fuzz.

I didn't know they worked together. I always wanted to work with Jack, but I despise Sean - In my opinion Vertex and Freakish Blues can't hold a candle to that guy's BS. I've got an OD11, grey ghost, Deluxe, Stevie, amp11... They were nice layouts though.

I have a question about the tone stack.
The tone stack of the Jubilee is the same as in the LP JCM800 circuit except the potentiometer,
the value is 50 Kiloohms insteed 5 Kiloohms and this does surprise me.
Is the potentiometer value right?

Checked my photos, 50k linear is correct.

Thank you for your efforts.

I was wrong in my post, I meant of course the Lovepedal Purple Plexi.

Love this one! Like the Purple Plexi.
More punch and bass, and more controllable gain (due the input instead the irregular pot to ground).

Question: is not redundant the B50K + 4k7 resistor (=~5k)???
I've ommited the 4k7 and place there a b5k pot.

And I'll add another question: which is the 370p cap function?

The LM386 circuit has an high gain, and it is therefore even more important to suppress radio frequencies.
The 370p capacitor forms together with internal resistance of the guitar circuit a low pass filter to get that done.

Thanks Manfred..!
Affect in someway if I place C2 before it?

If you place C2 before then C1 is in seriell with it and the total capacitance does not change significant the value of C1, the lowpass filter remains almost the same.
And so I guess that there is no affect in someway.

Jubilee amps have a dual pot for the bass control in the tone stack , so it differs from the average jcm 800
