All about modern commercial stompbox circuits from Electro Harmonix over MXR, Boss and Ibanez into the nineties.

I have to agree with Ola on Republican... I like the G3 better personally but the G4 is a close second. The gut shots look very easily traceable.. I wish that dude that took the pics would have gone a couple steps further and bent the pots up to see the board.. Oh well, at least we know it would be an easy trace if somebody happens to acquire one.

I have plenty of high gain preamps to work on already thanks to you and Val! Great work man!!

I like both G's, and Apex too. And I hope we'll see those pedals traced, some day.
I wonder what's the purpose of the two TL72s on G3 pcb. Input/output buffers, power supply, tone section? There is also Q6 visible. Is it a mixed circuit op-amps and transistors...?

I found this picture from pedal authority which gives a peak under the pots. I wonder how many other pics he took that didn't get posted in the review?

Even more ICs. I was expecting to see more transistors :)

My guess is they are probably damn near the same circuit with some minor component value differences..

Here are some gutshots of the BBE Windowpane.

Since it's based on a Fuzz Face, I'd love to get this gut close to an Eric Johnson Fuzz. Any ideas?

This I did not expect :)
There's also Fortin33, but no schematic at the moment.

Vermuram/Ibanez VTS808 , I thought it sounded pretty good! I'll search around and see if I can afford one!

I noticed there are a couple FET in one of the gut shots for the G3. One is directly off the wiper of the volume pot and the other you can barely see under the gain pot. Maybe for muting?

Something must have gone wrong, the switch SW1.2 effect nothing.

It's a DPDT (SW1.1 and SW1.2) on/off/on switch. So in a middle position C7 is disconnected.

Those are SOT23 dual diodes packs.

There is a BJT bypass mute circuit that wasn't included in the Tyrian or Sanguine circuits.
