I agree totally - also the artwork is very cool.RnFR wrote:i still think this is one of the coolest brand names from back in the days. it just has that psychedelic je ne c'est quois.
time for pictures of the track side and some info on component values used - even when I doubt, that there will be a big schematic difference to the Roland AS-1 (and the Colorsound SupaSustain clone, of course).DiscoFreq wrote:I have this one, probably 100% the same:

Ok, but it's one of those that I have to search for, I don't know in which box it isanalogguru wrote:I agree totally - also the artwork is very cool.RnFR wrote:i still think this is one of the coolest brand names from back in the days. it just has that psychedelic je ne c'est quois.

The pcb-layout is completely different, but the schematics match - even when the colorsound made units use 1µF film capacitors instead of electrolytics.
I wonder if the futuristicsound (accidently) is wired for 9V ? should be 18V....
BTW, do you have a Colorsound Sustain Module ?
This is completely different, probably working with a FET (or transistor only?) - I like to see the track side for a very long time....

No, but I do have a Eurotec Black Box Sustain Module I think (not 100% sure which Eurotec pedals I have )analogguru wrote:The pcb-layout is completely different, but the schematics match - even when the colorsound made units use 1µF film capacitors instead of electrolytics.

From the time of appearance I would assume that the Eurotec is similar or identical to this Orange/Dharma Sound/Colorsound Sustain.

Just arrived - I like it a lot. Sustains very nicely and not too brutal as a compressor - I don't like "black hole" compressors.
The box is very sturdy, and smaller than you'd think. It has an old-school boutique character.
I also have the Roland AS-1 (and a Supa Sustain), it has to be nearly the same circuit as they do sound similar.

It also looks to be an identical layout to DiscoFreq's Futuristic Sounds

Do you still need the sustain module guts?analogguru wrote:The pcb-layout is completely different, but the schematics match - even when the colorsound made units use 1µF film capacitors instead of electrolytics.
