I'll double check my build, too. I was in a rush to complete so maybe I'm wrong.

OT: IMO, the GT-2 is not a noisy pedal if you're only using TLC2262 chips..

UPDATE - the preset pot is set between 1k ohms and 1.5k ohms NOT 4K ohms as originally suggested.

I don't have it anymore. Traded it to another guy. :)

But it sounds dead-on to the commercial version. I tried them side by side.

I just finished this one, sounds good. I kinda like it. I tweaked the 5k trim pot to my liking, Im assuming thats all you need to do, is adjust to taste?

OK well the controls are all a bit odd... the tone changes when you turn the volume all the way up. The EQ isnt that great. The mid control is too subtle.

So change the values in the tone stack.

I might tweak it a little bit. The overall sound of the distortion is nice, I would just like to hear a little more differentiation as I twist the knobs.
Madbeans layout is really nice... I thought it would be a little tight to work with , but it was perfect, well done!

Hi Guys,

Although I'm more of a low-gain type-a-guy, this could be fun to spend some hours on, especially since the nice, perfect layout of Madbean. Speaking of which, I've tried to download rev 1.0 of the project files and ended up with an error. Is the document still online or is that just me???

Rock on!!!

Oops, I may have relocated it. Here is the final rev1. All docs are 300 DPI.

Just want to share this. PCB can be mounted vertically like those in zVex's. Pots are equally spaced. :)

Nice layout Dime!

I just plugged the values into the Tone Stack Calc, and its no wonder I didnt like the EQ, its all pretty flat. When I go home tonight I'm going to tweak it to some more Marshall-y values. Those look like I'll get the sweep that I want. Im primarily looking at changing the 2n for a 470pf and the 47k I'll probably drop to 33k.

A previous post claimed it was a 180pF cap instead of 2nF on his original unit(not vexter series though). :hmmm:

Yeah a 180pf looks better on the calculator. Maybe I'll try one.

OH MY GOD... I just dropped a 180pf in place of the 2n and this pedal now fucking KILLS!
I normally think ZV is a bit over rated, but he did a nice job on this design. Kudos to the guys that worked on R.E.ing it and to Madbean for the layout.
