Hi, just like to share my latest modification of a old german tube amplifier based over push-pull amplifier with two el84 tubes.
At the beginning this amplifier looks like this:

Yes AL. MV3 is a amplifier from VERMONA - a old german brand for amplifiers etc. Back in 80's they make 12 ohm speakers and they connect parallel two of them - this give exactly 6 ohm.
Output transformer have only one output section, and this is 6ohm.
But! (there is a goot new) ouptput transformer is verry good and have huge metal there and there is no problem to play with this am on 4 or 8 ohms.

There´s a sucker born every minute - and too many of them end up in the bootweak pedal biz.
Wow that's really interesting (at least to me). I've never seen that brand. ThanksNikifena wrote:Thanks guys

I've got MV3 too! Great amp - I modify mine:
EF86 side - for Rt66 preamp
ECC83 side - for old Park preamp.
I've got old 6 Ohm RFT speaker - but cab is brand new.
I like this little DDR thing.

Hi Nikifena!
1/ poor MV3 amplifier only or "like MV3" amplifier
2/ in MV3 case be specifical modification (channel with EF86 out) or full new DIY amp
3/ assembled in original Vermona PCB or poor PCB or your own PCB or "space spider method": no pics interior case "MV3"...
In http://www.jogis-roehrenbude.de/Verstaerker/MV3.htm exist only MV3 pictures gallery - original pictures source & description without
For original description MV3 please look to:
www.fonar.com.pl -> Galeria (Gallery) -> Wzmacniacz lampowy MV3 (Tube Amplifier MV3)
- in Polish language only but with description actualisation & new pics (all without in Jogis-Roehrenbude)
I be pics & description (in www.fonar.com.pl) author.

Dear Zoltan
This is a original MV3 german amplifier from Vermona.
I take it like a junk. without tube and broken.
I fix it using original PCB. Solder the socket, make better star ground. When the amplifier was working I just paint the enclouser, make a new frontpannel and change input and output sockets and knobs.
I use only channel 2 with ecc83 tube. I found, that the signal was a little bit distorted, and change the input tube with ecc82. Now I become better sound. I remember, that I make a little preamp modification, but this is old project, and I don't remember what I was make.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But, in practice, there is.
