Prescription Electronics - Depth Charge [traced]

Hey all!
As a bass player I love to use effects; I never heard this pedal but some bass players rave upon this little unit. Someone knows what happens inside one of em?
Thanks!

I don't know why this pedal sometimes gets compared to the brassmaster. The one I tried sounded nothing like my brassmaster clone, which I think of as a sort of old school type fuzz. The depth charge struck me as more of a heavy metal type distortion.

Described as a Brassmaster here:

I've played a Brassmaster once and this one once and they don't compare. The Brassmaster is octave up niceness, this sounded more like a regular fuzzpaperhouse wrote:Described as a Brassmaster here:

for bass fuzz....get a regular muff and drop either the first or second clippin diodes and increase tone cap to taste....you are pretty much sending people on early rapture

Here ya go, brothers and sisters!
And of course, the (long-awaited) schematic! It looks like all your guesses about it being a Brassmaster or a modded Muff are completely wrong... it's clearly a modded Super Fuzz!
Sound pretty nice too; though I might want to increase the value of R9 because the clean blend seems to overpower the fuzz too easily.

Thanks a lot for this soulsonic! Any ideas on transistor substitutes?
I can get some 2N3707s on eBay but was wondering if they are worth the extra cost (with variable hfe's and stuff).
