My last Tayda experience: delivery time about ten days (to Argentina!), no hassle. Well packaged. Some of these http://www.taydaelectronics.com/30-pin- ... -type.html came broken, but they're long, fragile, and sure it was some careless mail employee somewhere.
I ordered some 1N34's, this is what I got:
(sorry lousy cell phone pic)

They look fine to me.

i have already given up on ever receiving this order since the local post said no parcel with the corresponding tracking number is in their custody. and tayda has offered a reimbursement of the expenses since it appears i wouldnt be receiving the item anymore, but i opted for a reorder instead, AT NO COST to tayda (great customer service :applause: ), and that IF the "lost" parcel were to be delivered, i will be paying for the new order as well.

this morning i opened my email and saw an email from tayda saying my order will be shipped today (Aug. 24 here). two hours later i got a registered notice from the local post saying the "lost" parcel has already arrived. WTF?

shot tayda some last minute message cancelling the "reorder" and that i will place a new order instead next week after i have checked my parts bin. what a hassle, to me and to tayda as well. still, great customer service from Nalinee for putting up with my queries. however, i am quite uncertain if tayda will be cancelling the order before it ships today since they usually reply to emails at about 11pm, when im already asleep LOL.

is it possible for tayda to intercept this new order before it ships?

On my latest order with them I finally bit and ordered up a 100 pieces of their 2n3904 transistors to check out (1 cent each!!). I was disappointed to find the hfe on all of 'em was around 300 hfe.... a lot higher than I was expecting. The 2n5089's were where I like 'em at 450 hfe average, though. Besides that, I've been very happy with Tayda all the way around.

Are the metal film resistors any good? They are ridiculously cheap. Also, when they state the manufacturer, can it be trusted? For instance, a PT2399 is showing PTC as the manufacturer. It is going for 0.59. Over on pedal parts plus the same part is going for 3.95. That is a huge difference. Are they the same part?

I bought 6 pt2399's from them, built a clari(not) with one, seems fine to me. but, that pedal isnt built for pristine-sounding echo.
The only gripe i have with tayda is that all the pots are spline-shaft, so knobs sit a bit high of the enclosure. nothing a dremel cant fix, but still a PITA.

BTW, welcome to the forums
