Hello!
I would like to know can I make a whole metal enclosure and stick a cooper plate(from cooper PCB) or it has to be from electrical non conductive material such as plexiglass???
Thanx!!

Maybe you should have posted this in the Zvex Wah Probe thread...

thanks Soulsonic :D

someone has just the probe system PCB ? (I've already done the effect controlled by the probe) ?

I've one, made by "arph::: DWBH" on my hard disck but I don't know if it works.

Read this whole thread. I'm pretty sure someone built one from that layout.

No... I only made the layout, according to arph's schematic.
I never got round to build one, unfortunately.

ok cool i'll do one too.

But i've just the layout, not the PCB someone has it ? I drew one with "tracé de CI" software but I had some windows problems ans lost it.

Hello to all!
I read all your posts guys and still don't have a solution for my problem.I built wah probe from this page http://pcb4diyeffects.blog.com but the problem is sensitivity.
Diode reacts only one centimeter above plate and till I touch it.It has maybe a quarter of the whole sweep it should do.The board is 120x90 mm.IC is HEF 4093BP.Diode is 3mm green.
Sensitivity pot is A250k and I put 82k resistor from it to ground to increase it.Changed zener to 6,2v and raised a bit output resistor to avoid volume drop.
If someone has solution PLEASE post it!!
Thank You all in advance!!!

Check if the proximity circuit matches the schematic here. If so, it is all in the tuning of the sensitivity pots.

I got a feedback to point out the cap connected to the ANT should be 102 instead of 104 as in the layout.
You might as well change the sensistivity and tune pot to linear. I look back my note, the A just come out of no where... :slap:
Let me know if it work well after this change. I will proceed to update my PCB.

There already is an Untested vero layout by RLBJR65 based on the earth & space interface here http://6198662459250142037-a-1802744773 ... NAxUHBE%3D

Hope thats what your after,

Hi!

which pot is connected to sensitivity1 and sensitivity2?
50k, right?
and for the antenna....did you use a double sided copper plated board?

The Sensitivity should be a 250K audio taper pot. You can possibly substitute lower or higher values; but if you use too low of a value, the sensitivity will be too low and it won't turn on, and if you use too high a value, it will be too sensitive and won't turn off.
You can use it with double sided copper board, but you could use single sided as well. Nearly any large piece of metal can potentially work.

Is this the one thats inside the Probe Series? I would like to build a Fuzz Probe too... so i wonder if its gonna work with that one....

Technically that should work with loads of effects, it's just a layout for a proximity control that controls an LED & then you replace the pot you want to control with a LDR so that should be fine to make a fuzz probe.
